Please ensure that you order the correct film size for your camera. We cannot be held responsible if you purchase and then open film that is an incorrect size. We will NOT refund film boxes that have been opened in error under any circumstances. Therefore please double check that the film is the correct size BEFORE OPENING THE BOX. 35mm cameras take 35mm film (135 size, usually boxed individually). Medium format cameras take 120 film (usually packed in boxes of 5). Large format cameras take 5×4 or 10×8 inch sheet film.

Payment Options

We accept payment by Credit and Debit cards, including Mastercard, Debit Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro, JCB and Solo. We also accept payment by Sterling cheque. The type of cards we accept, together with our Payment Processor and Payment Gateway, may change from time to time.

VAT

All prices shown include VAT at the current rate of 20%.

Shipping

Shipping costs are based on the total weight of goods ordered. Final deadline for same-day dispatch for first class orders is 12 Noon (Mon-Fri). UK orders up to 2KG are sent by Royal Mail. Royal Mail states that First Class will be delivered in 1-2 working days, while Special Delivery guarantees before 1pm the next working day. Orders over 2KG are dispatched via 1-2 days courier service. We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage once your order goes into the postal system, so for peace of mind, please select ‘Royal Mail Signed For (Recorded) Delivery’, or ‘Next Day Special Delivery’. Please note that Special Delivery for Saturday costs considerably more.

Returns Policy

We know that you will be pleased with your purchases from our online shop, however there may be occasions when you will need to return items to us. Please read below…

Items Damaged in Transit

If any items were damaged in transit, we ask that you report it to us within 7 working days (please note that this is 48 hours for our business customers). If the items are visibly damaged on receipt, it’s best to sign the carrier’s delivery note accordingly. We will then assist you to make a complaint to the carrier company concerned.

Items Faulty on Arrival

If your items are faulty on arrival, you have 28 calendar days in which to inform us of the fault (please note that for our business customers, this is 14 calendar days). Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once we have verified the fault, we’ll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs. We test returned items, and if a returned item is found not to be faulty by our technicians we will return the item to you, in this instance you will be liable for the return carriage.

Items Faulty in Warranty Period

If any of your purchases develop a fault, and it’s more than 28 calendar days since receipt, then provided your item is within its warranty period, you are entitled to a warranty repair. In some cases, manufacturers provide a specialist full on-site service andn or telephone help facilities for your convenience which we recommend you use in order to correct the fault quickly. For business customers all warranty repairs after 28 days of receipt are referred directly to the manufacturer (unless otherwise stated)

If you change your mind

If you have simply changed your mind about any item ordered and you wish to return it, then in line with the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) you can do so provided you inform us of your decision within 10 days of receipt. The item must not be used and must be ‘as new’ when returned to us. Once you’ve informed us that you wish to return goods under the DSR, you have 28 calendar days to do so, at your own expense. Once the item is received by us, we’ll issue a full refund for the product to your original payment method. Please note this policy has some limitations and does not apply to business customers as Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to business customers.

Need to return an item?

Please do not return goods without a Tracking Number, otherwise we shall not be responsible in case of loss. Please email us at info@photouk.co.uk and provide your order number and reason for return.
